The cherished only child of two French bakers, La Baguette enjoyed an idyllic childhood filled with flaky pastry and custard cream. While it pained her to leave her small village for the first time, she could not quench her longing to see the world beyond her parents’ warm ovens. How could she have known, as they waved good-bye, that their livelihood was soon to be squashed - putin de bordel - by a multinational cupcake corporation? Merde! Sitting on street corners, starved for love and warm bread, La Baguette reinvented herself - no longer named after a doughy loaf, she is now the stick of justice, searching for the heartless goons (les cons!) who stole her parents’ life - and her innocence. Aided by her trusty confidant, Ze Upper Crust, La Baguette traveled to the New World to work silently in a bakery, watching and training until - finalement - her nemesis appears. Keeping odd hours, seeing every cupcake as a mortal insult, La Baguette throws her unpredictability and seething resentment into every Luchadora encounter…
